Team 5 - 1 FIVIZZANO

Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 14000 at Uzbek Arena today. Beat Manco was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Fabrice Thomas and Laurent Coppin. The following players had been chosen: Franceschilli - Mattozzi, Wilmes, Frauenthaler - Coquel, Piròli, Sali, Galdi, Leonhardsen - Olsen, Gleichheit.

Starters: Marmolejo - Rigotti, Jellen, Allorini - Życzyński, Pompili, Faccenda, Rickassel, Ursul - Cannegieter, Vela.

As the teams spread out over the pitch, it became clear that they would both be using a 3-5-2 formation today. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Marco Rigotti got himself booked. The manager of FIVIZZANO was not happy. With 35 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 1 - 0 lead as Torkel Leonhardsen flipped the ball in after a cross from the right. Alessio Pompili came close to levelling the score 37 minutes into the game, as he was set up with a through ball coming in from the left, but his shot hit the post. Francesco Galdi behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 39 minutes as he gave the ball away to Torben Rickassel. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. 1 - 0 was the halftime score. Team claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 58 percent.

Tomas Frauenthaler increased Team's lead to 2 - 0 with a penalty spot cannonball. Tomas Frauenthaler wanted to play on, but the Team coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 60 minutes into the game by Gigi Antoldi. As Tomas Frauenthaler left the field, the coach signaled to Johan Wilmes to be the new set pieces taker. Gigi Antoldi was handed the Team captain's armband. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Team coach let Andreu Bergadà replace Jan Olsen after 60 minutes. FIVIZZANO reduced the lead after 69 minutes to 2 - 1 as Marco Rigotti easily chipped the ball past the home side's keeper after a dazzling play from the right. Giulio Mattozzi of Team was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. With 74 minutes played, Team put themselves up 3 - 1 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to Dimitri Coquel, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. 77 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as Maximilian Gleichheit broke through, making the score 4 - 1 for Team. Andreu Bergadà went down after twisting his right ankle after 79 minutes, and had to leave the pitch. This gave Karsten Bach a chance to take to the field instead. Team increased the lead as Vitaliano Sali struck to make the score 5 - 1 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. The referee announced 1 minute of stoppage time, giving fans a slim hope that their team could get one more attack in before this was all over. The match ends 5 - 1. Possession in this half belonged to Team, who controlled the ball 55 percent of the time.

Team's best player was Maximilian Gleichheit. However, Gigi Antoldi made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating FIVIZZANO player was without a doubt Alessio Pompili. On the other hand, José Alberto Vela's play was disheartening.
