Ricboy 0 - 6 Team

Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 12000 at Absolut Arena today. Ulf Wikerberg was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Finn-Örje Henriksson and Jari Kaila. The following players had been chosen: Suerra - Del Bolgia, Baldisserotto, Cami, Andreu - Bergianti, Portobello, Venere, Cristina - Bandelli, Faustini.

The following players took the field: Franceschilli - Wilmes, Balaz - Coquel, Galdi, Riolfatti, Leonhardsen, Bach - Gleichheit, Bergadà, Olsen.

Ricboy started the game in a 4-4-2 formation, whereas One Eye Team lined up in a 2-5-3 formation. Team demonstrated their disastrous creative tactics on the field. Alcide Riolfatti received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 13 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score. A mistake by the home side's central defence after 15 minutes allowed Sezai Balaz to score for Team. The scoreboard now read 0 - 1. With 16 minutes played, Team put themselves up 0 - 2 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was Dimitri Coquel. 19 minutes in, Team's Alcide Riolfatti received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Ricboy's Marco Faustini hurt his back 20 minutes into the match, and had to be convinced by the medical team that it was safer not to continue the match. The player that took his place was Marino Pontanari. After 21 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed Dimitri Coquel to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 3. Team's Johan Wilmes made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 22 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line. A slight injury to his left calf muscle meant Dimitri Coquel had to leave the match early. It happened after 29 minutes. Richard Barwick had already been warming up, and came on for Dimitri Coquel. 0 - 3 was the halftime score. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Team, with 77 percent of the ball.

64 minutes into the game a free kick by Sezai Balaz found its way through the home side's poorly assembled defensive formation, making Team's lead 0 - 4. Roberto Portobello of Ricboy received a yellow card after 65 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. The visitors' Jan Olsen took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 68 minutes into the match. 0 - 5 for Team. Team's Richard Barwick was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 73 minutes. The cannonball from 35 metres by Richard Barwick of Team was an impressive sight, but didn't make it into the net. The Team players could smell victory in the air. Johan Wilmes wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for Silverio Pavone after 80 minutes. The coach of Team was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 80 minutes, Umberto Mazzuoli came on for Andreu Bergadà. After 80 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave Torkel Leonhardsen a chance to increase the lead for Team, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 6. The referee announced 2 minutes of stoppage time, giving fans a slim hope that their team could get one more attack in before this was all over. The match ends 0 - 6. Team enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 79 percent of possession.

The most dominating Ricboy player was without a doubt Guarino Bandelli. Antonio Cami was a disappointment, however. Team's top performer was clearly Jan Olsen. Casimiro Franceschilli turned in a dismal performance, however.
