LIVADE 5 - 2 Cacuaco

The crowd of 3591 turning up at livade arena today were greeted with some nasty showers of rain. was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Thomas Glatz and . LIVADE started off with a 5-3-2 lineup. Starters: Anzelj - Spasskov, Poltronieri, Va'aknin, Pollina, Jagodowski - Botka, Matteotti, Zupančič - Kodrup, Gufler.

Cacuaco decided to use a 2-5-3 set up. Lineup: Jorge - Pinho, Worciuch - Avelar, Oliveira Nunes, Moreira, Afonso Teixeira, Amaro - Pissarra, de Almeida, Silva José.

It was an obvious ambition of Cacuaco to use their excellent ability at attacking on the flanks. They were singing the praises of Oliver Botka 2 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 1 - 0 to LIVADE. Cacuaco's Severino Pissarra got himself booked for a foul. Sensing defeat in the air, the Cacuaco manager directed Arlindo Manuel Oliveira Nunes and Jerónimo Avelar to change positions with each other. This was 14 minutes into the match. The visitors refused to give in and, after 18 minutes, Jerónimo Avelar evened things up as he finished off a perfect pass from the right. 1 - 1 Francisco Moreira was uncomfortable with the soggy pitch as he couldn't move the ball around with his usual grace. After 32 minutes, Sebastian Kodrup came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 2 - 1, giving LIVADE the lead. Cheers filled the stadium as Sharon Va'aknin broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 3 - 1 to LIVADE. Thighs bulging, Arsénio Silva José charged past the weaker players, seemingly oblivious to the rain. After 44 minutes of play, Cacuaco's Arlindo Manuel Oliveira Nunes unexpectedly struck an inside out ball from no angle at all and Arsénio Silva José slotted it into the net for 3 - 2. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in LIVADE's Boštjan Zupančič increasing the lead to 4 - 2. Confident in their lead, LIVADE's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. LIVADE's Paul Gufler swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. Halftime score was 4 - 2. LIVADE enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 63 percent of possession.

Sebastian Kodrup left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 46 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. Gerardo Caserta was the replacement. With 47 minutes played, LIVADE put themselves up 5 - 2 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to Paul Gufler, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. 50 minutes into the game, Cacuaco's attack got through on the right, but Francisco Moreira couldn't handle the ball and his feeble kick wound up in the keeper's arms. Coming in on the left, Arlindo Manuel Oliveira Nunes did everything right to get a goal for Cacuaco after 52 minutes, but his finishing shot was stabbed clear by the keeper. Cacuaco needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 62 minutes Severino Pissarra made way for Nélson Brito Pinto. With things not going too well on the field, the Cacuaco coach made the decision to swap the positions of Belmiro Afonso Teixeira and Arsénio Silva José with 68 minutes played. After 70 minutes, Cacuaco switched Francisco Moreira with Brice Le Cam, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. LIVADE claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 57 percent.

The most dominating LIVADE player was without a doubt Gerardo Caserta. On the other hand, Emanuele Poltronieri's play was disheartening. Most important Cacuaco player was Witold Worciuch. However, João Sérgio Pinho made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 5 - 2.
