1238 punters turned up at BROTHER'S ARENA, and despite threatening clouds on the horizon, no rain came. was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Arsène Thomas and Jonas Kobe. BROTHERS tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. The following players had been chosen: Dobány - Chuks, Sonoh, Jones - Bouzidi, Aftimescu, Heeren, Tuwa, Kabili - Di Dio, Končys.

Sicuzzo had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation. The following players took the field: Redzkin - Sanità, Zanotti, Serlupini - Makvandi, Fleissner, Tumanov, Anceaux - Casolari, Even-Zohar, Coccaro.

For their match strategy, BROTHERS had decided to use their inadequate ability to counter-attack whenever possible. Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for Sicuzzo on this day, taking advantage of their solid level with that tactic. 12 minutes into the game, Valentin Tumanov was a hair's breadth away from giving Sicuzzo the lead with a shot from over on the left. A prompt block by János Dobány saved the home team that time. With 19 minutes played, BROTHERS's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to Dan Aftimescu he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 1 - 0. Some brilliant football from the visitors' right wing resulted in a levelling of the score as Sicuzzo's Jonata Casolari put the ball in the onion bag after 20 minutes to make it 1 - 1. The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of Sicuzzo's Arnaud Anceaux after 34 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 1 - 2 lead. Boris Fleissner increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 1 - 3. 1 - 3 was the halftime score. Sicuzzo claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 63 percent.

A drive down the left side allowed Giorgio Zanotti to get in close and score another goal for Sicuzzo after 57 minutes, taking the score to 1 - 4. 73 minutes in, Sicuzzo's Hakim Makvandi received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Due to a severely mistimed tackle, János Dobány of BROTHERS spent some time on the grass writhing in agony before he could get up and continue the game. Osvaldas Končys did everything he could to get one back for his BROTHERS, but keeper Anatol' Redzkin denied him with a spectacular block. Sicuzzo had to make a substitution after 87 minutes. Anatol' Redzkin limped off the field and was replaced by Derik Jagow. A scuffle developed as players from both sides clashed following a tussle in the centre of the field 88 minutes into the match. After regaining order and consulting his linesman, the referee called BROTHERS's John Sonoh to one side and produced a red card for the player. Carlo Sanità of Sicuzzo had to be helped off the pitch as an injury meant he was unable to finish the game. Pierpaolo Bissoli came in to finish the match. Possession in this half belonged to Sicuzzo, who controlled the ball 60 percent of the time.

BROTHERS's top performer was clearly Osvaldas Končys. János Dobány turned in a dismal performance, however. The most dominating Sicuzzo player was without a doubt Giorgio Zanotti. Eugenio Serlupini on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 1 - 4.
