Rin 6 - 2 ALOTI

2904 spectators had come to Duvel´s Place Stadium this cloudy day. was the appointed referee with assistance provided by and Jean-Philippe Doumain. A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Rin. Starters: Berkan - Mogensen, Bello, Menken - Gaggi, Paiva, Madjer, Anderson, Taddeucci - Durán, Aladrén.

ALOTI started off with a 5-2-3 lineup. Lineup: Sève - Chacana, Dolami, Piller, Dattwyler, Cifuentes - Quinchen, Oteiza - Fagà, Guzman, Camiroaga.

ALOTI were relying on their magnificent ability to counter-attack. Some great play up the middle by Rin led to a chance for Félix Durán to score after 3 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar. After 22 minutes, Spencer Anderson came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 1 - 0, giving Rin the lead. ALOTI caught their opponents out with a clever counterattack down the right wing 28 minutes into the match. Domenico Fagà was able to finish off the move - 1 - 1. Arnoldo Piller of ALOTI seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 1 - 2 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by Raúl Quinchen. 37 minutes into the game, Urman Madjer came close to levelling the score with a dangerous shot from the centre of the area that went just over the bar. With the clock showing 38 minutes played, a great pass from the defensive line of ALOTI resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly brought under control by Armando Oteiza in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high. Rin's Per Mogensen had a hard, curved free kick after 39 minutes that would have paid off, had it gone just a little lower. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 2. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Rin, with 78 percent of the ball.

The coach of ALOTI was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 50 minutes, Pavel Jára came on for Armando Oteiza. After a scuffle in the guests' penalty area 54 minutes into the game, the home team was awarded a penalty. Per Mogensen scored to make it 2 - 2. The home side put themselves ahead 3 - 2 after 60 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from Roberto Carlos Aladrén, who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing. 69 minutes into the match, the speedy Roberto Carlos Aladrén easily outpaced Julio Dattwyler, chipped the keeper and made the score 4 - 2. The players of Rin now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave Ugo Taddeucci from Rin a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 74 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Rin were given a gift! The ref dubiously awarded them a penalty 75 minutes into the match, which was neatly put away by Per Mogensen. 5 - 2 for the home side. After 80 minutes, ALOTI switched Raúl Quinchen with Daniel Flórez, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. Pavel Jára was handed the ALOTI captain's armband. Florentino Camiroaga nearly reduced the lead 80 minutes into the game, but a splendid one-handed save by Derya Berkan prevented the attempt coming in from the right flank from hitting the back of the net. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. Roberto Carlos Aladrén squirmed through their central defence after 82 minutes, increasing the lead to 6 - 2. That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for Roberto Carlos Aladrén. Rin had most of the ball, with 61 percent of possession.

Rin's best player was Roberto Carlos Aladrén. Athos 'Eagle' Paiva turned in a dismal performance, however. The most dominating ALOTI player was without a doubt Daniel Flórez. On the other hand, Menéndez Guzman's play was disheartening. The match ends 6 - 2.
