A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 2932 to Babylon Boys Arena. was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Giulio De Mitri and . Babylon decided to use a 5-5-0 set up. They fielded: Miller - Bengtsson, Svensson, Tisselli, Forsland, Mårtensson - Emilsson, Hanni, Jansson, Kronsten, Tavares -.

A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Fiber. The following players had been chosen: Tobiasen - Hyllested, Reksten, Mortensen - Viby Christiansen, Sekse, Hyldal, Möglich, Keil - Dichmann, Grønning.

With 75 minutes played, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending. Ricco Grønning put the ball away for 0 - 1. The home crowd cheered when, after 81 minutes, Tore Keil's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. 82 minutes into the game, Babylon seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a passable level of organisation. Usually a powerful player on the field, Jari Hanni looked kind of pale and tired under the hot sun. Per Reksten increased Fiber's lead to 0 - 2 with a superb free kick strike that flew in just under the far top corner. After 86 minutes of game time, Ricco Grønning had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but Duane Miller was in the right place and tipped the ball over for a corner. Fiber claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 71 percent.

Most important Babylon player was Kasper Jansson. Ivo Tavares turned in a dismal performance, however. Fiber's best player was Benny Hyldal. Gunner Mortensen on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 2.
