Due to an all-day shower, 2345 paying spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog at Woodside Park. Alaric Houze was the appointed referee with assistance provided by William Brassard and Wilfried van der Tas. Benfleet decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. Lineup: Niculescu - Louzada, Andrea, Amirul - Manquilef, Rodríguez, Karlsrud, Hillerup, Qiang Chuan - Aik Aik, Hudson.

wanwitzig started off with a 2-5-3 lineup. Starters: Engelund - Skinderholm, Korsgård - Thomassen, Hjortnæs, Harboe, Sonne, Maagaard - Gram, Voldbirk, Elm.

wanwitzig showed off their disastrous creative tactics. They were singing the praises of Tommy Hudson 7 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 1 - 0 to Benfleet. After 24 minutes, Benfleet sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached Steen Rud Hillerup, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 2 - 0. Alfredo Andrea increased the lead for Benfleet to 3 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! After this, you could see that the players of Benfleet were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. After 27 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and José María Rodríguez gave the Benfleet supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 4 - 0. Thighs bulging, Matthias Harboe charged past the weaker players, seemingly oblivious to the rain. 4 - 0 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to Benfleet, who controlled the ball 58 percent of the time.

Adrian Niculescu made a brilliant save 53 minutes into the match, blocking a rocket of a shot from August Voldbirk on the right hand side. wanwitzig needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 58 minutes Kenneth Gram made way for Laust Hedemann. The coach of Benfleet was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 63 minutes, Lukas Brumsee came on for Steen Rud Hillerup. wanwitzig breathed new life into the game with an attempt to reduce the lead after 67 minutes, but the home side's defenders cleared the ball off the line, after a long shot coming in from the left rebounded off the crossbar. After 68 minutes, a well-worked counterattack by Benfleet on the right presented an easy opportunity in front of the goal that was duly converted by Lukas Brumsee to make it 5 - 0. Tommy Hudson wanted to play on, but the Benfleet coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 69 minutes into the game by Ang Ping Yun. We may never know what Jostein Karlsrud was thinking when he tried to pass the ball through a crowd of opponents. Luckily for him, wanwitzig's August Voldbirk somehow missed the wide open net. The home crowd just couldn't believe it when Jostein Karlsrud missed a penalty after 84 minutes of the match. Cheers filled the stadium as Lukas Brumsee broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 6 - 0 to Benfleet. Benfleet claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 62 percent.

Adrian Niculescu performed admirably for Benfleet. However, Jostein Karlsrud made a disastrous appearance. Most important wanwitzig player was Jakob Elm. August Voldbirk was a disappointment, however. The match ends 6 - 0.
